The Opera 2001 company presents a new production of La Bohème, one of Giacomo Puccini’s most moving and universal operas. With a careful scenography, period costumes and an international cast, it promises a version full of lyricism and emotion.
The show will be presented on March 24, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. at the El Batel Auditorium in Cartagena.
La Bohème portrays bohemian life in Paris in 1830, focusing on the love story between the poet Rudolph and the seamstress Mimì, marked by passion, poverty and illness. Around him, the tempestuous loves of his friends Marcello and Musetta provide a vibrant and human counterpoint. An opera that combines tenderness, humour and tragedy, with some of the most beautiful melodies of the operatic repertoire.
This production of Opera 2001 features the Opera 2001 Orchestra and Soloists, the Sicilian Lyric Choir, under the musical direction of Martin Mázik and the stage direction of Roberta Mattelli.
