The last moments of the life of Jesus Christ are represented in Rojales with “The Passion of Elche”, a production that has been bringing the Gospel stories to the public for decades through stage, music and setting.
The play will be presented on March 1, 2026 at the San Pedro Apóstol Parish in Rojales at 6:00 p.m.
The Jerusalem Cultural Group is a group from Elche that emerged in 1984, made up of more than a hundred people of different ages who, year after year, are involved in all phases of production: acting, costumes, make-up and direction.
“The Passion of Elche” recreates the final moments of the life of Jesus Christ, with dialogues based on the Sacred Scriptures and a careful staging that has attracted hundreds of thousands of spectators. The play, in addition to having a long history in parishes and churches, has been performed on stages such as the Roman Theatre of Mérida or the Palau de la Música in Valencia, and is declared a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest of the Valencian Community.
