From November 1 to 3, 2023, the IX Film Festival ” SOL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL” will be held in Torrevieja.
This year the countries participating in the contest are: Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Latvia and the United States.
Many of the selected short films are winners of multiple national festivals.
Access to IMF cinemas to see the films is €6.
The program consists of 10 short films in the Official Selection of the festival and the screenings (in Original Version with subtitles) will take place on November 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Closing Gala Dinner of the festival at the restaurant “ Vela Beach ” on November 3rd with a special menu and live music!
The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk with some of the actors and directors who will be present, such as actor and director Luis Larrodera and director Nei Loya.
The short films will compete for the following awards:
- Best Short Film Award
- Best Director Award
- Best Actor Award
- Best Actress Award
- Audience Award
The professional jury is made up of:
- Dani Fontrodona – sound director with Goya award.
- Edgar Puncalis Punculis – film director, cinematographer from Latvia.
- Maria Kubareva – representative of the noble house of Ryurikovich, President of the association “Culture without Borders“.
