The Police will carry out controls at the entrance to Torrevieja before the possible arrival of families from autonomous communities in central Spain.

From April 30th until Sunday May 3rd due to the possible arrival of individuals and families from autonomous communities in central and northern Spain, as well as from the neighboring region of Murcia, Local police controls have been intensified at road accesses to the city of Torrevieja.

Controls will be at the entrances by the N-332 both South (direction Cartagena) and North (direction Alicante), as well as by the CV-90 (direction Crevillente-Murcia).

These controls will allow the detection and reporting of those people or families who, without any justification and recklessly, try to move from other points of the Spain to spend this long weekend in Torrevieja, this possibility increases with the excellent weather forecast during these next few days.

Remember that the city’s beaches, parks and gardens are closed to the public, as it is totally forbidden to open them for security.

  1. I applaud this police action to control the entrance to the city as there are people who don’t think rules apply to them as I have noticed from my window handshakes hugs and people walking about without dogs or shopping these actions will only contribute to an extended Pandemic
