Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra

In his fourth concert of the season, the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra will perform the Sinfonia Concertante K. 364 In B flat major by Mozart. This work, as stated, lies in between the Concerto and the Symphony, showing the more and more complex technique in orchestral music at the moment of its creation. Originally composed for violin and viola, this time a transcription for violin and cello will be performed.

They will also play the “Sad Waltz” from “Kuolema” (“Death”), a work by Sibelius, composed to accompany a Theatre Play with the same name, written by his brother in law. With this work the composer wanted to transmit his homesickness for Finland, his country, but he actually never imagined how famous it would become.

Next Saturday April 14that 7 pm, at the Torrevieja Auditorium, the fourthconcert of the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra season will take place.

To end the concert, they will perform Schubert Symphony No. 8, known as the “Unfinished Symphony” because it only has 2 movements. But the theories about the origin of the name are many: Some people say the composer wasn’t actually thinking of writing more movements, while others think that he abandoned its composition, shortly after starting it, when he discovered he had syphilis. Either way it wasn’t discovered until many years after the composer’s death.

When a web page refers to dates king fine you should delete them so everything left is to look forward to, book tickets for etc. Have just one orchestra web page which people can rely on for future events.
