The holiday home in Los Balcones is also where me and 13 friends were due to go! As described earlier, one day before we were due to go out CBL emailed us to tell us the villa had been double booked and we could not stay.
We are still awaiting our £1795, and have heard nothing from John and Amanda since.

Thanks John for dragging our name through the mud

Do you know the address where John and Amanda currently stay and what they are currently involved in, As you have probadly surmised they are both fraudsters and thiefs.Any help may avert further distress and suffering by unsuspecting clients and homeowners. To have all those people standing outside the property as mentioned is a disgrace and the Treagusts should not be shielded from the full wrath of the law. I hope when caught they get a very long sentence and I would be more than willing to take time out top act as a witness.

I just received, from two diferent people in this forum, the bookingsinform for the same property, done by costa blanca live,
jhon treagust and amanda jane treagust.

Two diferent familys (one from french and the other from italy) booked and paid, the same house and the same holiday-date.
The two familys has paid to jhon, on his acount. For the first two weeks of agost.

Somebody need to stop them.

today a family from french,... Rent a villa en los balcones, and paid all the money to jhon treagust: 1800 euros.
More: The owners of the villa knows nothing about this reservacion, and jhon dont has the permision for to rent it.
The owners they come over to spain, for to make a report,.... And the victims go also to the nacional police .

Please: Together whe are strong, and together we can put the treagust in the jail.

Hi Louise

I have just read your article. We were away from the 21st July until yesterday. We along with all the others had paid in full for a villa. Luckily we found another from a reputable company but having to find the full cost again. If you need any further information for any further articles I would be more than happy to assist. I am persuing Homeawayrentals as in my view as much as they were not the people to run off with peoples money - They became liable the minute they continued to advertise the company after numerous advices from owners and renters alike.

Just prior to leaving for our holiday we were desperate to find accommodation for 9 of us. I am in touch with a lady who rents various properties - Legally I may add. She knew the Treagusts and also the lady whos villa we had thought we had rented. She advised that the lady in question wants to speak to me on my return and that the lady requested her property to be taken off Homeaway rentals and had to ring them in person months ago. The lady has the details of a few would be renters and is making a case for the authorities in Spain. I will update you once I have had contact with her if there are any more developments. As already advised to Louise, I will pursue Homeaway rentals for lost the lost money as they have a responsibility to people who visit their site and given from reading this forum they were aware last year they have been negligent. If negligence exists then there is a case to be answered.

13 girls lost money

Hi Sheik and all,

I am writing for some advice. How do I contact the Orihuela police in Spain from the UK?
13 girls put down a deposit for a hen weekend away in a villa in Los Balcones also and were informed 2 days before that the villa was double-booked. As it was a special occasion we have to find somewhere else very quickly and pay the additional fees.
As with all of you, we have still not received any money back and are still chasing. We all want to take action and stop others suffering in the same way but we are not sure how we can contact the police from the UK.

Any help would be appreciated.
