I have read the various comments and wanted to share the following in respect of John and Amanda Treagust:
My family and I normally go to La Marina, however, this year we were unable to secure the accommodation which led us to search elsewhere. We came across "Costablanca Live" via the internet and proceeded to book a villa sufficient to accommodate 8 people and wait for it..... we had an absolutely fantastic time and I have got to say the accommodation, transfers and service we received was very professional and ranks with the best we have encountered. Upon our return to the UK John contacted me to advise that there would be a delay with regards to the refund of our deposit monies due to circumstances beyond his control and asked me to work with him until it was resolved. I have have kept in regular contact with John and Amanda over the past few months and have found them to be very nice honest people. We must appreciate that the world is in unprecedented times in terms of the economy and these people and / or their business is not immune from this. John has stayed true to his word and refunded the deposit as promised and I would like to think I have supported him in terms of working with him to achieve this. It was a worrying time for my wife and I taking three pensioners (our parents) and three small children to a place we have never visited before, however, John took the time to ring me on a number of occasions prior to our visit to answer our questions and alay any fears we had and I thank them both sincerely for this. I would like to say that I would not hesitate to use "Costablanca Live" again and wish John and his family a Happy New Year and all the best for 2011. PS sorry for the incorrect spelling of "Northerner"!!

These people could have easily dropped their company and started afresh like a lot of UK Companies including travel agents that we saw in the press last year and none of us would have had a leg to stand on or got a penny back!! They didn't and have stuck to their word. A nice word or two wouldn't go amiss from all you cynics, these people are trying to make a living and comments like yours on a public forum could quite easily wreck their livelyhood.

Probably unlike yourself we have to save all year for a holiday, so £200 is alot of money to us. Basically, costablancalive spent money that did not belong to them. What do you expect when is john pleeding poverty, but he is showing off on Facebook that he has just purchased a handmade rocking horse.

I am not defending his actions, however, you know nothing about me and are insinuating I am wealthy or "on the inside". £200 is a lot of money to me also.

"Cynics" Yes thats everyone on here that has posted a quote about Costa Blanca Live. Why? Let me answer some of your quotes.

A nice word or two = Thank you for giving me my own money back after 5 months!
They are trying to make a living = So is everyone that booked a holiday in good faith with the company.
Wreck their livelyhood = I'm sure everyone on here needed THEIR OWN deposit back to pay something.

Now that my deposit is safely back in my bank account having paid it into Costa Blanca Lives bank account on 28th June 2010 I like Jason would also like to wish you all a Happy New Year and a happy 2011 holiday with whoever you decide to book with but I know one company I wouldn't recommend. Do you nothener?

Well all I can say is "Lucky You!" - I am still waiting and my e:mails and phone calls are still unanswered. My battle continues.......
