The beach where you can take your dogs in Torrevieja is located in Rocío del Mar and the dog beach of Orihuela Costa in Cala La Mosca.
Torrevieja’s canine beach is a rocky area, between Cala Ferris and the Rocío del Mar urbanisation.
People who have animals can also bathe with them.
The beach is duly signposted and has several wooden platforms with wicker umbrellas, as well as a bag dispenser and a bin to deposit dog poop.
This beach has a good clear limits, so they do not interfere with the rest of the bathing areas.
To reach this area by car, it is accessed from the roundabout that joins Torrevieja with Orihuela, known as the Punta Prima roundabout.
It can also be accessed on foot from the Mar Azul urbanisation, passing through Cala Ferris.
We recommend parking the car next to the children’s area of the Nautilus Restaurant, and walking to the beach for dogs.
Orihuela Costa Dog Beach
Just a few hundred metres from the Torrevieja dog beach, you will find the dog beach designated by Orihuela City Council.
In this case, it is a very cosy little cove with sand: Cala La Mosca (or Cabo Peñas cove).
Although these 2 beaches belong to different municipalities, they are joined by the promenade and semi-pedestrian paths, which facilitates the possibility of enjoying the 2 beaches by taking a nice walk along the coast.
