The brotherhood of San Juan Evangelista de Torrevieja celebrates its 75th anniversary with the exhibition “Between History and Devotion”, a journey through its history and legacy through photographs, documents and objects that show the devotion and tradition of the city.
The exhibition can be visited from February 20 to April 14, 2026 in the Vista Alegre Exhibition Hall.
St. John the Evangelist, also known as John the Apostle, was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and is traditionally considered the author of the Gospel according to St. John, as well as the epistles and the Apocalypse. It is a symbol of friendship, loyalty and wisdom.
The exhibition offers a unique vision of the evolution of the brotherhood since its foundation in 1951, highlighting its role in the religious and cultural life of Torrevieja. Visitors will be able to contemplate historical photographs, original documents, liturgical vestments and objects that have accompanied generations of confreres, reflecting the identity and devotion of the community.
