The exhibition traces the history of the Lyceum Club since its foundation in 1926, focusing on women linked to the Generation of ’26 and their contribution to culture, education and thought in twentieth-century Spain. Through information panels and informative material, the role of these women in the social and cultural transformation of their time is valued.
Organized by the collective Mujeres por mujeres Jacarilla 2012, the exhibition aims to make visible the importance of women’s associations and vindicate the memory of those women who paved the way towards equality.
