Festivities in La Mata 2026 in honor of the Virgen del Rosario

The patron saint festivities of La Mata will be held from September 12 to October 7 with a pilgrimage, children’s activities, running of the bulls of San Fermín, paella contest, open-air dances, multicolored parade, religious acts and proposals for the whole family.

Among the most outstanding events are the pilgrimage to the Eduardo Gil Rebollo Park, the San Fermín children’s running of the bulls, the paella contest, the floral offering, the Multicolor Parade, the popular festivals, the High Mass and the procession of the Virgen del Rosario.

The Patron Saint Festivities of La Mata in honour of the Virgen del Rosario will be held from 12 September to 7 October 2026 with a programme that combines tradition, religious events, music, gastronomy, children’s activities and days of coexistence.

Saturday, September 12

• 12:00 p.m.: “Surriagaso”, kick-off of the festivities.
• Charanga, DJ, water parties and entertainment activities.

Sunday, September 13

• 09:30 h: Departure of the pilgrimage from the parish church.
• 11:00 a.m.: Campaign mass in Eduardo Gil Rebollo Park.
• 5:00 p.m.: Return of the pilgrimage to the parish church.

Friday, September 18

• 9:00 p.m.: Day of coexistence “Our Young Seniors”.

Saturday, September 19

• 11:30 a.m.: San Fermín Children’s Running of the Bulls, starting from the Plaza de Gaspar Perelló and traveling through different streets to the Plaza de Encarnación Puchol.
• Foam party at the end.
• 8:45 p.m.: Summer cinema with popcorn and cotton candy in the Plaza de Encarnación Puchol.

Sunday, September 20

• 07:30 a.m.: Rosary of the Dawn and sung mass.
• 12:00 p.m.: “Parabares”, tour of the hospitality establishments of La Mata.

Friday, September 25

• 9:00 p.m.: Sobaquillo dinner in the Plaza de Encarnación Puchol, enlivened by a mobile disco.

Saturday, September 26

• 6:00 p.m.: Floral offering to Our Lady of the Rosary.
• Presentation of medals and sung Holy Mass.

Sunday, September 27

• 10:00 a.m .: Great paella contest.
• Bouncy castles, music, foam party and DJ.

Friday, October 2

• 6:30 p.m.: Charanga.
• 10:00 p.m.: Popular verbena with the performance of Diego Martín and the show “La Playlist de tu vida”.

Saturday, October 3

• 6:00 p.m.: Multicolor Parade, with a float and seven sound cars.
• 10:00 p.m.: Popular verbena with the Athens Orchestra.

Sunday, October 4

• 09:00 h: Diana.
• 09:30 a.m.: Holy Mass.
• 7:30 p.m.: High Mass and procession with the image of the Virgin of the Rosary.
• Fireworks display at the end of the procession.

From 5 to 7 October

• Triduum Mass in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary.

Wednesday, October 7

• 12:00 p.m.: Bell ringing.
• 7:15 p.m.: Holy Mass in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary.
