Night of San Juan 2025 on the beaches of Torrevieja
The night of San Juan 2025 will be celebrated in Torrevieja with the traditional bonfires on the beach.
On the eve of the night of San Juan, hundreds of people gather on the beaches of Torrevieja to celebrate a purifying ritual that consists of lighting a bonfire in the sand of Torrevieja beach and jumping on it, in order to get rid of everything bad that has happened to us during the year.
At 11:59 p.m., a large fireworks display will be fired from the Juan Aparicio promenade that can be seen from all the beaches of Torrevieja.
On Tuesday, June 24 (San Juan) will proceed to the cremá of La hoguera of the Molinos del Calvario neighborhood, which is located on San José Street on the corner of Joaquín Chapaprieta Street.

Usually, the City Council distributes about 15,000 kilos of pine wood (which leaves hardly any waste) for people who want to make bonfires on each of the city’s beaches.
Where is the wood collected?
Firewood distribution points:
– Los Náufragos Beach (at the entrance to the Poniente pier)
– Los Locos Beach (downtown area)
– Playa del Cura (northern area)
– La Mata beach (next to the pumping station), on Avenida de los Europeos, next to the lifeguard post and, in La Mata town, in front of the Plaza de Encarnación Puchol.
Access to the beaches of Torrevieja will be controlled by the security forces, to prevent the use of wood that can leave dangerous waste on the sand.
