OST: The Genius of Bonn – Beethoven and French Romanticism

The OST presents a great concert dedicated to Ludwig van Beethoven and French Romanticism, in an evening that will bring together some of the most emblematic pages of the European symphonic repertoire.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., at the International Auditorium of Torrevieja.

With more than 15 years of experience, the OST has established itself as a musical benchmark in the Vega Baja and the Valencian Community, promoting musical talent and offering the public great works of the symphonic repertoire.

On this occasion, the orchestra will be conducted by José Miguel Rodilla and will feature the participation of the renowned cellist David Apellániz as soloist.

The programme is part of the cycle “The Genius of Bonn“, dedicated to Beethoven, and proposes an interesting journey between the universe of the German composer and French Romanticism.

Works of the program:

Ludwig van Beethoven:

  • Egmont Overture, one of the composer’s most dramatic and recognizable orchestral pages.
  • Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, one of the most famous works in the history of music.

Édouard Lalo:

  • Cello Concerto, performed by soloist David Apellániz, a work of great melodic and expressive richness that represents French Romanticism.
