PAINTING EXHIBITION BY FÉLIX LÓPEZ

The author from La Mancha, Félix López, brings his painting exhibition “Life is color” to Rojales.

The artist Félix López Poveda, will present an exhibition that will feature around 50 works. These works are made in acrylic technique and cover various styles such as abstract and cubism.

López Poveda’s paintings are loaded with social messages and love, addressing themes of current life such as intolerance, indifference, wars and child slavery.

Félix López, originally from Pozocañada (Albacete), emigrated to France as a young man, which allowed him to master French. After an accident that took him away from football, he dedicated himself to painting, becoming a passionate self-taught. Known as the “painter of Las Minas”, he used any surface available as a canvas during the pandemic to express his emotions. Committed to social causes, he has donated many of his works to charities.

Félix has participated in numerous international exhibitions, such as the Expoceleste in Hellín and the Nuovo Matt 13 Gallery World Tour in Costa Rica. He also designed the poster for the Tamborradas de Hellín in 2021 and gave one of his works to Minister Reyes Maroto. His work, which celebrates the rich heritage of Hellín, has been exhibited in several cultural spaces, including the Elda Footwear Museum.

The painting exhibition can be visited from Sunday, July 7 to Sunday, August 25 from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on the first Sunday of the month, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Mengolero room of the Cuevas del Rodeo (Barrio del Conjunto Histórico Artesanal).
