The Solidarity Ball
The Gastronomic Brotherhood of the Cocido con Pelotas de Torrevieja organizes next Saturday, March 29, “La Pelota Solidaria”, a gastronomic day with a charitable purpose.
The event will take place at the facilities of Cárnicas Ríos, in the “Casa Grande” Industrial Estate (Calle Josefa Rebollo Rodríguez, 32) and will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The event aims to raise funds for the benefit of the associations ASIMEPP and Asonevus, two local entities that play a fundamental role in supporting people with chronic diseases and rare conditions.
For only 5 euros, attendees will be able to enjoy a bowl of broth with a ball, accompanied by drink and bread, thus contributing to a charitable cause. In addition, the day will have a festive and convivial atmosphere, in which the participation of several local associations and members of the Gastronomic Brotherhood of Cocido con Pelotas is expected.
Cárnicas Ríos (winnerof the best cocido con pelotas in the II International Stew Contest) provides the products and infrastructure necessary to carry out this event in a totally selfless way. Thanks to your support, it will be possible to carry out this solidarity day in a suitable environment and with the best ingredients.
Since its foundation in 2013, the Gastronomic Brotherhood of Cocido con Pelotas has worked on the promotion and conservation of traditional Torrevieja gastronomy, organizing meetings and activities that revolve around the emblematic Cocido con Pelotas. On this occasion, culinary tradition meets solidarity to support those who need it most.
About the beneficiary associations:
ASIMEPP Torrevieja is a non-profit association that provides comprehensive support to people affected by fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and rheumatic diseases, as well as their family and friends, promoting the well-being and quality of life of patients.
Asonevus is the Spanish Association of Congenital Giant Nevus, an organization that works to make this rare skin condition visible, improve the medical protocols of its treatment and offer support to affected families.
