VI INTERNATIONAL CONTEST OF STEW WITH BALLS IN TORREVIEJA

The VI International Contest of the Cocido cn pelotas will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Municipal Leisure Center of Torrevieja.

This event, organized by the Department of the Elderly of the Torrevieja City Council in collaboration with the Gastronomic Brotherhood of Cocido con Pelotas, will bring together about twenty teams that will compete in the following categories:

• International Stew
• Regional Spanish Stew
• Stew with Traditional Meatballs
• Cocido con Pelotas authentically Torrevieja

The contest is open to all cooking enthusiasts, of legal age, regardless of profession or nationality. Participation can be individual or on behalf of an association, club, supporters’ club or group of friends. It is important to note that professional chefs are not allowed to participate, although they can do so as an exhibition or out of competition. All participants will receive commemorative awards and medals.

Registration will be open until Tuesday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. To register, you must go to the offices of the Department of the Elderly.
