Come and see the faces of 27 female scientific researchers from all over the Mediterranean.
In order to make scientists visible and break stereotypes and roles, the exhibition will bring to the population the life and research of female leaders in Mediterranean science.
From September 15th to October 3rd, 2021 the exhibition MEDITERRANEAN FACES OF SCIENCE will take place at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Centre in Torrevieja.
Invisibility, both for themselves and for their own work, is one of the many pitfalls that women face in scientific careers.
From the earliest educational levels, the male dominance of the scientific field is instilled and established.
However, this exhibition turns that on its head by highlighting the incredible work of these 27 women from Mediterranean nations. Hopefully encouraging a more open approach to science and showing girls what is possible.
