The Municipal School of Painting of Torrevieja exhibits “The game of flamenco”, a gigantic board based on ” The game of the goose” Vega Baja style.
This exhibition marks the final work of the course of the students of the Municipal School of Painting, led by their teacher Olga Parra.
The inspiration for this exhibition comes from the cultural route “Camino de Santiago Salinero”, held in November 2022.
This cultural route covers from Torrevieja to Orihuela, passing through the villages of Los Montesinos, Benejúzar and Jacarilla, which have a great wealth of heritage and landscape.
Throughout the course, the students of the Municipal School of Painting have made trips to each of the five municipalities through which the Camino de Santiago Salinero passes.
Thes goal was to capture in their works the motifs and references of these special places, painting them live and direct.
The result of this unique experience has been reflected in a gigantic “game of the goose”.
Each student has created one of the 63 boxes of the popular game, which shows the architectural and natural beauty of the route of the Camino de Santiago Salinero. The paintings reflect the diversity of landscapes, historical monuments and the uniqueness of each locality along this cultural route.
