From October 15th 2021, Torrevieja Hospital will be managed by the Valencian Community Health Department (currently the management is semi-private).

The hospital workers and health workers are concerned about what their future job will be.
Each side has more than enough arguments to justify the public management of the hospital or to maintain and prolong the private management.
This decision not only affects Torrevieja, but a whole health department that serves 10 municipalities with a total of 140,000 patients in the health area.
The Health Department serves the municipalities of Torrevieja, Guardamar del Segura, Rojales, Pilar de la Horadada, San Fulgencio, Benijófar, Formentera del Segura, San Miguel de Salinas, Los Montesinos and Orihuela Costa.
Since the construction of the Torrevieja hospital in 2006, it has never been fully managed by the public administration, so it is not possible to make comparisons, although there are examples of other nearby hospitals that have experienced this change such as Alzira, but it’s impossible to know if the same results would take place at Torrevieja hospital and the whole health department which covers the aforementioned towns and their medical centres.

Why can’t it be left as it is? Why change when things are going so well. Understand it is of course to do with one person in the government and money! It is very worrying when already doctors and nurses have walked out so what does that say? I think we should get a petition up all those in favour contact me
Yo carmen Aloso dispuesta a una guelga contra la ministra de sanidad por las faltas de cuidadodo y el trato a los enfermos en este hospital de Torrevieja mucha populacho para los empleados q tienen es un vergüenza médicos de Cuba México latino América tratando muy mal a los enfermos.. sin piedad yo espero un urologo por un año y tengo mi vejiga muy mal .ya pasa el año y no tengo cita todavía.tengo la crtininina alta por sufro de miriñones para ellos no importa mi salud. La falta de respetó de las Dr latinas sin ducacion te tratan como un.perro pido u pañal por no puedo ir al baño y no me lo traen , pregunto q tengo no contestación a la5 am.me pasan al piso q es donde ve empiezan los cheques después de estar fuera sentada en una calla toda la noche asta que me Dan una camilla para la analítica. Paso 10 horas y luego me Dan un buz para pasar al D
r.em medio de la noche una sra de la limpieza se pone a cantar como Roció jurado con voz alta y uno malita .No es de vergüenza todo este descontrol de la ministras de sanidad. Bamos a una juelga de las grandes no se puedes permitir este descontrol para lo más importante de la salud.
Happy to protest, it’s an absolute shambles.
Having now had experience 8f the new system it us a disaster. My hubby was taken by ambulance in agony and had a six hour way being totally ignored even though he was crying out in pain. We arrived 6.30pm and were seen at 1am. You can’t imagine the distress we were both in. Result is he has an inflamed gallbladder and is having keyhole surgery. The whole experience has left us exhausted , I spent the night in a chair and him on a trolley bed and he didn’t want me getting a taxi at 4am on my own.
Absolute shambles since the management of the hospital has changed. Impossible to do anything.
My wife had stomach pains for more than a month she needed tests but we were advised to go to a private hospital because Torrevieja hospital only had one radiographer previosly there was 11
Well we always thought no hospital came up to standard to torrevieja hospital but omg what a disgrace this is husband been awaiting to be seen since November 26 2021 with no avail we can not blame our own Dr perrez as she is wonderful up at cabiriog hospital to blame news paper getting told as waited long enough
