Mike2 Helo, I am very curious about the problems with john and amanda. I rented a villa "LaSiesta" for this summer but after a few weeks, I find that the villa is more about "ABRITEL. I am afraid to meet a fraud on the lease.
Would you, perhaps, the owner of this villa. We paid a deposit in January and they ask me the balance on their bank account Orhiuela.

Hi Menegh, Apologises for the delay in responding I have been on holiday. This is not my villa however,after being contacted by and made contact with numerous individuals who are awaiting the return of deposits and those that have been relocated to alternative properties on arrival in Spain. In addition property owners who are awaiting payments from J + A, If it were me I would be extremely cautious about paying any more money up front

Just logged on to site and wondered if there was any more news of the whereabouts of John and Amanda. If you are reading this John how can you put your children through changing schools and houses. Their well being must be cause for concern when you are running away from your responsibilities. Why not come clean and own up for your wrong doings and try and sort out the money you owe to us and all these people and stop trying to reinvent yourselves.

He responded positively, I expect the 318 euro provided.

Abritel are part of the HomeAway Holiday Rental Group. John and Amanda Treagust of Costablancalive advertised my property on the HomeAway website for rental without my permission. I contacted the HomeAway legal department and asked them to remove my property from their site, my solicitor contacted John and Amanda Treagust and informed them that they were breaking the law and threatened legal action. My property was subsequently removed from the HomeAway Holiday Rental site.
If John and Amanda Treagust fail to return your deposit within the agreed time scale, I would suggest that you inform the Abritel and HomeAway Holiday Rental legal department and request their assistance,

Hi Menegh I too am owed a lot of money from the Treagusts for all the rentals of my property last summer. I have now advertised my property with a legal and established company. There are Novasol. Try them for a rental in La Siesta. Property EBL553 is in El Chaparral near to La Siesta.

Hi We too seem to have been scammed, we paid deposit in Jan 2011 and have sent final payment, which we are trying to recover we can not get in contact with him at all, do you have alternative telephone number or email

If it helps, The case number when I informed HomeAway is Case 02801799 [ ref:00D78VtP.5007HStuR:ref ] and the last person who contacted me was Sonia Diadhiou at support-cs@holiday-rentals.co.uk. I have informed HomeAway of the many people including myself that John and Amanda have cheated and scammed. Sonia stated that if I know of any other persons to ask for them to contact her direct.
What John and Amanda Treagust has done to you is fraud as they took your money knowing that they were unable to fulfill the contract. If you want I can provide you with an email address and a contact for Action Fraud UK.
If i get find out any details on J+A whereabouits or contact details i will let you know

when was the property taken off home and away rentals?

Hi Morley, It was removed in early March when by chance I noticed that John and Amanda Treagust were advertising it without my permission. Unfortunately my property is not available in August, i would be reluctant to recommend an agent after the experiences with John and Amanda , but Debbymac above seems to have found one that she trusts
