John also owes my Husband money for work that he done for him. We had no idea he was up to no good. He was ALWAYS flashing the cash but unfortunatley now it seems it was all yours. He owes another family money as they looked after the kids for 2 weeks, painting and cleaning his pool. Such a flash Ba****d. He used to gloat on his FB page that he was opening up a vintage Red wine etc and that he had a very good day in the office and has so many bookings for 20011/12.

I think he looks on here every now and then....So JOHN, I really hope your get what you deserve. I think Amamda is just going along with it as she has no choice. You are a nasty bully and cant wait to see your ugly face on Crimewatch and someone, somewhere finds you........

I would totally agree with you about John. However with my experiences of Costablancalive and Amanda she was aslo involved in theft and fraud as John is/was and I have documentary evidence of the fact. Everyone has the choice to go the right or wrong way, and Amanda has chosen her path, no-one else.

Hello, we are French and we were also ripped off by John and Amanda. After contact with the consulate of France in Spain, this one has informed us that the real owners of the villa we rented led a lawsuit against them. We are looking owners: Calle Rio de segura, Las Ramblas golf resort in Orihuela Costa.

If you are looking for jhon treagust and amanda jane treagust, or costablancalive , the best what you can do, is go urgent to the police nacional from orihuela, and make a "denuncia por estafa" (fraud) again them!
That are two criminals, that took a lot of money, from a lot of people (from me also). Don´t make a report again them in your country, but do it in spain! With the "policia nacional" in orihuela.
A lot of people, they are without a holiday home, because they gived the rent money to jhon and amanda, when the owner of the house, knows nothing about it.
I am calling everyone, for to go to the nacional spanish police from orihuela!
So we can help future victims from this fraud.
The clients, or they dont get the garanty money back, or they dont find the house,..... And the owners the don´t receive the rent-money!
He is living now in mojacar. The nacional spanish police, has everything about him.

Owed nearly £2000?!

I have a similar story to a previous submitter:
Me and 13 other friends looking to celebrate the end of college and booked a villa in March to go and stay in Torrevieja in July, we booked flights and taxis etc, and were due to be flying out on the 4th of July.
Then, on the DAY BEFORE we were due to go out to Spain, I received an email from costa blanca live, saying that unfortunately the villa had been double booked, we could no longer stay there and they would refund us immediately.
Fortunately we managed to find another villa (which for 14 people with less that 24 hours to go was not easy!) but the so called 'immediate refund' has not happened. They were in random contact in the week we were away and have asked for the bank details to refund which we have given, and several times have said they will refund us, and still we have received nothing.
We are owed £1795 between us, and for a group of 18 year olds that is a lot of money!
Their website has also gone down, for maintenance issues apparently! I find this all highly suspicious.

I am going to complain to Holiday Rentals legal department as previously suggested, and wondering if anyone had any ideas of what to attempt to do?

when you are until now in spain, the best what you can do is:
You go to orihuela , and go to the nacional police headoffice (policia nacional)
take everything with you, and make also a report again jhon treagust and amanda jane treagust.
The office from costa blanca live, is closed from 01/02/2011.
They are using this name, or they are using also "a new place to stay".
I know that you have lost a lot of money.
Dont worry, he need to pay me more than 3000 euros.
The best way, is that you go to put a report tu the police nacional from orihuela.
They are starting with the court, looking for him and his wife.
Let we stop that crime!!!!!! And let we safe future clients!!!!!!
So not: More people go to lose his money!

Please!!!! Everyone with the same problem: Go to the nacional police!!!!
More people that do it, more posibility that they go to the jail!!!!
So he can make also his holiday in the jail.

I will be over in Spain shortly and I will hand over all the evidence I have on John and Amanda Treagust to the police nacional This includes a Burofax served on them by my solicitor and thier acknowledgement of receipt detailing a substantial amount of monies owed to me by both of them
