Chirigotas de Carnaval – Torrevieja 2023

The chirigota ” Manolín Santander” will participate in the 5th Torrevieja Carnival Festival 2023

This Chirigotas Festival aims to promote the world of music and chirigotas in Torrevieja, in order to support our great carnival and recover summer festivities. Chirigota is a genre of Spanish choral folksong. The songs are satirical in nature and are performed predominantly in the streets by performers in costumes.

This new event is a great cultural attraction that aims to entertain the many visitors to the city in summer, from various parts of both Spanish and foreign places, as well as the local people and the many participants in Torrevieja Carnival.

The show that will begin at 9pm, will feature four groups:

• Chirigota “Los Sangochaos”, organiser of the Festival.
• Chirigota “Manolín Santander” with “Los Villanos”, 2nd Prize in the carnival of Cádiz 2023.
• Chirigota of “Fermín y Antoñito ” with “To ma pasa a mí. Los desgraciaos”, 2nd Prize of the Carnival of Cádiz 2023
• Comparsa “Martínez Ares ” with “La Ciudad Invisible” that won 1st Prize again in the Carnival, at the Gran Teatro Falla de Cádiz
