Oktoberfest of Cárnicas Ríos: A German Party in Torrevieja
Torrevieja, October 1, 2023 – On September 30, Torrevieja was immersed in an atmosphere of celebration and tradition with the 25th edition of the Oktoberfest of Cárnicas Ríos.
Organized by Meat Rivers, a company specialising in home-brewing German meat, Cooked, fried, raw sausages, bolognae and other sausages, this annual event has become a mainstay of local culture, attracting hundreds of people to the Meat Rivers in the industrial estate “Casa Grande” of Torrevieja.
The owner of Cárnicas Ríos, Pepe Ríos, is the mastermind behind this festivity that pays homage to the rich German brewing tradition.
The Oktoberfest is held every year at the beginning of October, and this time was no exception. The party is known for its lively atmosphere, delicious food and, of course, lots of beer.
One of the strengths of Cárnicas Ríos is its German specialties, which include the famous Bockwurst, Wiener art, Regenbuger and Hausmacher sausages. During the Oktoberfest, these German culinary delights are the main course, along with roast beef and, of course, a large amount of beer to satisfy lovers of this drink.
The event takes place at the facilities of Cárnicas Ríos, where tables are set up in the shade of several tents and food and drink are offered at very affordable prices. In addition to the gastronomy, the day is enlivened with live music in the purest German folk style.
Pepe Rios‘ commitment and dedication over the years did not go unnoticed. In 2018, he was awarded as “Merchant of the Year” by the Department of Commerce of Torrevieja and the merchants association, a well-deserved recognition for his contribution to the community and for keeping the German tradition alive in the city.
