British tourists prohibited from entering Spain until at least 2nd March

Share on:

The Council of Ministers have agreed an extension until March 2nd of the exceptional measures to limit the spread and contagion by Covid, by limiting direct flights and passenger ships between the United Kingdom and Spanish airports and ports.

This measure is also a serious blow to the actual airport itself, where air connections with the United Kingdom have practically disappeared.

This measure will stay in force as it is now, until at the earliest, March 2nd 2021.

In the case of the United Kingdom, only flights or disembarkation of passenger ships to Spain that are occupied by Spanish or Andorran citizens may be made.

That includes British citizens who are permanent residents in Spain.

It should also be noted that France has closed its borders to non-residents of an EU country or French nationals, therefore driving to Spain as a tourist is also not a viable option.
