Time to change your clocks: Saturday, October 29th, 2022

Share on:

At 3am on Sunday 30th October 2022 the clocks will go back one hour so it will become 2am, meaning that Sunday has 25 hours.

The last Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October are the days when time changes occur in the countries of the European Union.

This measure is carried out in about 70 countries around the world except Japan.

The change of time is intended to reduce energy consumption, making the beginning of the working day coincide with the daylight hours. Domestic savings in lighting from the time change from March to October can be up to 5%

It is advisable to change the time on your clocks and watches that don´t change digitally the same night in which the change is made just before going to bed.

In this way, you wake up with the correct time on your clocks.

Most computer equipment synchronize and update the time automatically, as long as they have an internet connection.

What do you think of the time change?

Many companies in the hospitality sector complain about the time change that occurs the last week of October, as it directly affects them as it leads to a decrease in their customers’ consumption.

Should we keep the time change 2 times a year, or is it better to keep the same time throughout the year?

I think it should stay all year round at GMT, it was introduced by Franco and it should revert back.

I never agree with it, it deprives too many adults and children of daylight hours and causes depression for many.
