This morning, around 3:47am, firefighters received an alert call reporting a fire in the garage of a residential building in the centre of Torrevieja.
Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident and the Fire Department acted quickly to control the situation and prevent further damage.
In the early hours of today, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at around 3:47 a.m., an alert call was received reporting a fire in the garage of a residential building in calle Morriones, 17 in Torrevieja (next to the Parroquia of the Sacred Heart of Jesus).
Immediately, the intervention of firefighters was activated to control the situation.
At 4:51am, the fire brigade arrived at the scene with 1 headquarters command unit, 1 heavy urban pump, and 1 ladder truck.
Upon arrival, they found a lot of smoke and flames at the entrance to the garage, affecting two of the cars parked there.
The firefighters immediately proceeded to extinguish the fire, managing to control the situation and they prevented it from spreading to other areas of the building.
At 6am, the fire was put out and the garage was ventilated.
Fortunately, there were no injuries in the fire. However, the cause of the incident is unknown at this time.
In total, 1 sergeant, 1 corporal and 6 firefighters from the Torrevieja fire station participated. They acted quickly and efficiently to control the situation and prevent further damage.
