The three coldest months of the year arrive in Torrevieja

Share on:

A significant burst of cold air will push thermometers down to seven degrees.

We have enjoyed many weeks of great temperatures and sunny afternoons in Torrevieja until now, today, Wednesday December 2nd, the so-called “climatological winter” begins.

It is the coldest period of the year, in this country and includes the months of December, January and February.

As of Thursday, temperatures are expected to plummet by between five and seven degrees of what we’ve been used to until now.

Predictions indicate that as of Thursday we will have minimum temperatures below 10 degrees throughout the Vega Baja, and they’ll drop below 5 degrees in the inland towns.

A weak frost could even occur in garden areas.

Maximum temperatures will hardly exceed 15 degrees during the weekend.

Added to this drop in temperatures is the wind that will increase the feeling of cold, so don’t forget to wear your coat when you go out!

You can follow this weather situation in the WEATHER section of our website.

And you, did you miss the cold?
Is seven degrees too cold for you or is it a welcome respite to the heat?
Do you still see Torrevieja as a place with pleasant temperatures even at this time of year?
We 💗 love reading your comments so please let us know.

It’s still great weather, lots of plants has a chance to grow, so as long as there’s clear sun in the sky, there’s no better place than Torrevieja to wait until spring time!!!

We hate winters in Spain.Especially when it rains. We are so used to going out, that to be confined indoors is hell. However, it’s still better than the UK.
