The Torrevieja Gastronomic Cocido con Pelotas Brotherhood is organising the IV INTERNATIONAL COCIDO CON PELOTAS CONTEST
This gastronomic brotherhood is in charge of making the Traditional Stew, and especially the Stew with Meatballs, typical of the city of Torrevieja, well known.
Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at 10am in the Centro Municipal de Ocio
The Department of the Elderly, together with the Torrevieja Gastronomic Cocido con Pelotas Brotherhood, is organising the IV International Cocido con Pelotas Contest.
The contest will be held on Saturday, February 4th, at the Municipal Leisure Centre (CMO), where the registered teams, up to a maximum of 15, will prepare the different stew specialities, as stated in the rules, which are:
- International cooked
- Spanish Regional Stew
- Cooked with Traditional Meatballs.
Registrations begin Monday, January 16th. The registration period ends on January 30th at 2pm.
All fans and lovers of cooking can participate, regardless of age, profession or nationality.
Participation may be either individually or representing an association, group of friends, etc. As it is an amateur contest, professional chefs are not allowed to participate. They may, however, take part in exhibition mode or out of the competition.
