The “Black pudding croquette on a bed of caramelized onion and piquillo pepper sauce” of HB Torrevieja was the winner of the first prize of the III Croquettes Contest.
Yesterday the prizes for the best croquettes in the third edition of the contest “Croqueteando por Torrevieja” were presented.
13 establishments belonging to the Association of Hospitality Companies of Torrevieja and Comarca participated in the III Croquette Contest 2023.
The jury was composed of 2 councillors from the City Council of Torrevieja, Aurora Torres, cook of the Lula Restaurant with Sol Repsol and Alicia Arenas Mercader, responsible for CdT Torrevieja, who had the task of tasting the different croquettes and selecting the winners.
- The first prize was awarded to HB Torrevieja for its delicious creation called “Black pudding croquette on a bed of caramelized onion and piquillo pepper sauce”.
- The second prize was awarded to Chiringuito La Mar de Bien for its exquisite “Croqueta de Nécora”.
- The third prize was awarded to Restaurante La Mar de Bien for its original “Croqueta de Kimchi”.
All the winners received a shopping cart from Dialsur valued at 700€ in total.
The awards ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Hospitality Association, and the secretary Joaquín Guillama and the treasurer Marco Martinetti were in charge.
The Croquettes contest in Torrevieja, has once again demonstrated the quality and creativity of local restaurants and has given participants the opportunity to stand out in the world of gastronomy in that area.
